The Effect of Mixing Recirculated Flue Gas with Primary or Secondary Air during Biomass Combustion in Grate-Firing Boiler as the Primary Measure for NOx Reduction

چکیده

Due to the pollutant regulations of Directive (EU) 2015/2193, need reduce emissions compounds such as NOx is a great importance for industrial boilers. This study was performed determine effect primary measures in reducing said pollutants by mixing or secondary air with FGR and supplying mixture combustion. The studies were conducted on low-scale biomass grate-firing furnace boiler stand 25 kW. Sunflower husk pellets, shredded pine bark wood pellets combusted during these experiments their combustion products analyzed. most significant reduction achieved it zone – under grate. reduced 29% 15% sunflower respectively. enough meet standards EU Directive, unlike those pellets. possible ways reach greater using are implementing staged combustion, pure and/or agriculture waste fuels containing less N its composition.

NOx Emission Model for the Grate Firing of Biomass Fuel

Establishing an appropriate NOX production and decomposition model is of practical significance to the grate firing of biomass fuel. This study used the CHEMKIN software package to simulate the combustion process of biomass pyrolysis and char combustion. Through rate of production (ROP) analysis and simplification based on GRI-Mech3.0, the 15-step reaction mechanism of volatile-N converting int...

Effects of Flue Gas Internal Recirculation on NOx and SOx Emissions in a Co-Firing Boiler

Volumetric combustion has been developed to realize a high substitution ratio of biomass in co-firing boilers, which features an intensive flue gas internal recirculation inside furnace. However, the characteristics of NOx and SOx emissions in large-scale boilers with volumetric combustion were not fully clear. In this paper, an Aspen Plus model of volumetric combustion system was built up base...
